INVESTIGATION @ WOMBOURNE, WEST MIDLANDS 13/08/05
We were asked to investigate a series of unusual, possibly paranormal, events at a flat in Wombourne.
Objects such as mobile phones and keys have occasionally been moved from room to room during the night. The gate at the top of the stairs has closed on its own on numerous occasions. Shadows have been seen from the corner of the eye in the lounge and the plug has been pulled in the bath in front of someone's eyes when no one else was in the room. The door handle to the bedroom was seen to move on several occasions but no cause was found.
When we first arrived, at around 10.30pm, we scanned the rooms with EMF meters. This produced what we consider to be normal readings for this kind of dwelling with the exception of a fluctuating reading in one area of the lounge which registered quite high but disappeared later that evening.
We then took pictures in the different rooms resulting in what we presume to be pictures of orbs in the lounge and bedroom areas (shown left).
We initially experienced a lot of electrical interference when we took photos in the bedroom. This only lasted for around 30 seconds and, thankfully, the remainder of the pictures were unaffected. The cause of this distortion is still unknown!
Trigger objects of a small stuffed toy and a few coins were placed in areas of known activity. However, the morning after the investigation no movement of the objects was indicated.
We held short vigils in the lounge and hall but nothing out of the ordinary was experienced except for a cold spot in the lounge which we feel could be put down to draft from the stairwell.
We eventually decided to call it a night and set up equipment to take video footage throughout the night in the lounge and monitor for sounds in the kitchen/hall areas.
On checking the video we have recorded what sounds like something being 'thrown' against a door or wall very close to the equipment within a few seconds of us leaving the flat. We are still trying to determine what this sound could be as nothing was found to be disturbed or fallen when we returned the following day! Unfortunately, nothing visual was picked up on tape! We managed to get 'banging' and 'rustling' sounds on the voice recorder in the kitchen but nothing that we feel can't be explained as normal.
