OLDE FOUNDRY - MARCH 2007
Present: Tina, Les, Kris, Jon, Emma, Claire, Neil, Gav
Guest: Tony
Staff: Ken and Mandy - licensees
This was our second visit to these premises and we anticipated an eventful evening. We were not disappointed.
During the initial meditation, Claire was visually aware of a figure by the cellar door. Tina also picked this up during the meditation.
BAR AREA
Many things were picked up during the first séance in the bar area. Contact was made with a person, thought to be male and in his 60s, who was linked to horses. Ken confirmed that the Olde Foundry was originally a coach house in the mid 1800s. He was felt to be of a friendly nature and was observing the team at work. Knocking on the walls on command, a presence was felt to be sat next to Gav, light anomalies around the walls, shadows around and behind the bar unexplained noises emanating from the ice room and cold draughts across the teams hands and arms were also felt during the séance.
On more than one occasion, during the nights investigation, a figure was spotted moving across the back of the bar by the ice room. When checked, no one was found in the area at the time. This phenomenon was also witnessed on the first visit to the Olde Foundry in 2006.
Towards the end of the investigation, Tina was changing the disc in the camcorder when she saw a dark figure walk out of the cellar door and head across the bar area to the ice room. On checking, no one was found in the area.
On one occasion, Ken was aware of someone standing behind him as he stood at the bar. No one was there!
Sounds were heard coming from the ice room on several occasions during the night. On checking, nothing unusual was found in the area.
CELLAR
This area was, as usual, very active.
The first glass and table work produced a link to a young lady who lost her life in the back room of the cellar. Neil sensed that the ladys name was Eva and she was in her early 30s. It was felt to be a suicide but also accidental in nature so it was thought to be a cry for help. It was determined that she was pregnant but had been held against her will in the area. She was very happy to have team member Kris at the table and linked with him very strongly and she indicated some link to Kris in a former life.
During this séance, Tina and Neil picked up a dark, male figure standing at the back of the room. He was thought to be watching what was going on and was felt to be oppressive in nature. The team felt that he could have been the person responsible for the young girl being held captive. Jealousy was one reason that came forward for the figures incarceration of the young girl.
Throughout the teams presence in the area, unusual noises were heard coming from the back of the cellar where the barrels are kept.
CONCLUSION
This building is just so amazing. We feel it holds so much residual energy with so many spirits that we need to spend a whole week there.
Within minutes of the investigation starting, Tina and Claire were made aware of someone there by having their hair touched. We knew straight away that it was going to be good and it certainly was. Incidents of cold breezes, being touched, whispering voices, shuffling sounds and light anomalies were prevalent during the nights investigation. The Olde Foundry is one of the most active places the GhostlySightings Team have visited.
Thanks to Ken and Mandy for their usual very generous hospitality, patience and most of all for their fantastic sense of humour when things got heavy.
